About Bayou Outdoors

See what sets us apart from the competition, and get answers to frequently-asked questions about the buying/installation process.

The highest quality at lowest price.

Graceland Portable Buildings constructs the very best portable buildings directly in their Tylertown, Miss., factory. Using the highest quality materials and skilled Mennonite craftsmen, they produce a product that is strong, durable and multifunctional.

Our delivery personnel use a custom built drop back trailer to transport orders to your location and can easily place the building in the desired position using a portable hydraulic mule. This allows Graceland Portable Buildings to buy material in bulk and streamline the manufacturing process, which gives Bayou Outdoors of Hammond the opportunity to bring you the highest-quality building at the lowest cash price.

Portable building with porch and barn loft

Bayou versus the competition - nothing else compares!

Graceland only uses premium building materials. Our structures are manufactured with skilled Mennonite craftsmanship – the finest in the business.

Graceland uses 2×6 floor joists rather than 2×4 to make the building more durable and strong. The wood is also treated to resist termites and decay.

Graceland’s 4×6 runners are all constructed of treated lumber and the nails are hot dipped galvanized ring shank. They hold like screws and will not rust.

Graceland’s walls and floors are 5/8 inch thick. Compare this to our competitors’ sizes of 3/16 inch or 1/2 inch.

Graceland metal roofs are fastened to wood decking and screwed down solid, not on 1×4 wood slats. This makes the roof much more durable.

Graceland’s metal roof comes with a continuous roof vent running the full length of the building and designed with a screen to keep out pests (bugs, bees, etc.).

Graceland’s buildings also come with our patented “continuous soffit” vent under each eave. This is a Graceland Exclusive. This keeps our buildings 10-15 degrees cooler in the summer.

Graceland’s structures meet all international building codes. Some areas may differ.

Graceland’s buildings have the strongest warranties in the business. All shingle and metal roof products have a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty, all treated wood products have a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, and Graceland offers a 7-year Limited warranty on workmanship.

Graceland also offers the best rent-to-own program in the business. There’s no credit check with a low down payment and security deposit. We provide free delivery and setup up to 50 miles. Contact us for details on delivery beyond the radius.

The difference is clear: Better products. Better craftsmanship. Better service.

RENT-TO-OWN PROGRAM

Graceland Portable Buildings offers both their 36-month rent-to-ownand their 60-month lease-to-own program on any factory-built portable building that they manufacture, from size 8x12 up to size 16x40. There is no credit check and no down payment required. You just pay your first two monthly rental payments on a 36-month contract when you order your building and your first three rental payments on 60-month contract. Your next payment will not be due until 60 or 90 days after the date your building is ordered. You can also buy it for the low cash price at any time.

With every rental payment you make, a percentage of that payment comes off the cash price. You can pay it off at any time without penalty or make the required number of payments and the building is yours. Call us at 985-345-6050 for full details.

Frequently-asked questions about the buying, installation, and delivery process.

Yes, you can put down as much as you like. We actually recommend putting as much down as possible, as your monthly payments will be based on the remaining balance.

No, we do not check your credit. All you need is a down payment to get started!

A building purchased from a dealer (in stock on the dealer’s lot) will generally take 7-10 days to deliver. If the building purchased needs to be manufactured, it will be 14-21 days. Weather conditions and the demand of the season can alter delivery times.

There are no hidden charges – we offer free delivery (up to 50 miles), and free setup/leveling! We also anchor the building for free if you are located in the required zone.

All of our standard deliverable buildings can be purchased rent-to-own. Special orders may require a cash purchase, although we do accommodate a high degree of custom orders through the addition of many available options on our rent-to-own buildings.

All of the materials used to construct our buildings (metal, shingles, and pressure-treated lumber) carry a 20-to-30 year manufacturer’s limited warranty. Our buildings are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for three years.

You should enjoy many years of maintenance-free storage. We use treated materials and also offer stain/seal for our products.

You are responsible for granting a clear access to the delivery location. If part of a fence or gate has to be removed, Graceland is not responsible for repairing or replacing fences, gates, trees, bushes, shrubs, etc.

Requirements pertaining to zoning, permits, setbacks, and covenants vary among municipalities, please contact your local government agencies to find out what you will need. If you live in a community that is part of a home owners association, be sure to find out what rules and regulations they have concerning storage buildings.

The Department of Transportation regulations require the building to be no wider than 14-feet at the widest point. This is why the building is measured from eave to eave. Our smaller-sized buildings are measured from wall to wall.
